Future Women Leaders is now on Twitter! You can follow us online @futurewomenldrs. I know a lot of people may use Twitter just for fun to share with friends and family, but there are actually some great business and networking uses.

Future Women Leaders on TwitterFor one, you can search Twitter for terms and the conversation around those keywords. Visit http://search.twitter.com and search for some keyword phrases about your current company, the company you'd like to join, your industry or your interests. You can subscribe to this feed by RSS and get an update every time someone posts using that keyword. If any topics look interesting you can reply directly to the person (@username or hit reply) and send them a message. You can also start following that person and get updates every time they post. This is a great way to learn more about a new company you're thinking of joining or preparing for an interview because you're getting the pulse of hot topics related to those keywords.

What are some of the ways that you use Twitter? If you're not currently using Twitter, why not? We'd love to hear your comments.
