Creating Visualization

Hello Friends -  The world is a looking glass, and gives back to everyone the reflection of our own faces.  Frown at it and it in turn will look sourly on you; laugh at it and with it, and it is a jolly, king companion.” William Makepeace Thackeray

Creative visualization is the technique of using your imagination to create what you want in your own life.  Believe it or not, you are using it every day.  This is your natural power of imagination, the basic creative energy of the universe, which is used constantly, whether or not you are aware of it.

In the past, we have used our power of creative visualization in a relatively conscious way due to our deep-seated negative concepts about life.  We have automatically and unconsciously expected and imagined lack, limitation, difficulties, and problems to be our lot in life.  To some degree this is what we’ve created for ourselves.

Imagination is the ability to create an idea, a mental picture, or a feeling sense of something.  Albert Einstein stated, “Imagination is more important than knowledge.”

In creative visualization you use your imagination to create a clear image, idea, or feeling of something you “wish” to manifest.  After creating this image than you continue to focus on the idea, feeling, or picture regularly, giving it positive energy until you actually achieve what you have been imagining.

If there is dissatisfaction in your life, you could begin by imagining the improvements that you desire.  Let’s say you are dissatisfied in your current relationship, after relaxing into a deep, quiet meditative state of mind, imagine that you are in an ideal relationship.  What would that look like to you, how would you feel, how would you interact with each other.  Add any detail that is important to you in this visualization.  Now it’s important that you imagine it exactly the way you’d like it to be, as if it were already so!  Repeat this exercise in your mind several times a day.  If you desire to make a change and it’s clear, chances are good that you may find some type of shift taking place in your relationship, fairly soon.  I do want to state that this technique cannot be used to “control” the behavior of others or cause them to do something against their will.

Creative visualization is magic in the truest and highest meaning of the word!

Here is an example, if you have never seen a gorgeous flower or incredible sunset, and someone described one to you, you might consider it to be a miraculous thing (which it is truly!).  Once you saw a few for yourself, and began to learn something about the natural law involved, you would understand better how it was all formed and would seem natural to you and not mysterious.  The same is true of the process of creative visualization.  At first it may seem amazing or impossible to the very limited type of education our rational minds have received, it then becomes perfectly understandable once we learn this technique.

Once learnd, it may seem that you are working miracles in your life……you truly will be!  Physically, we are all energy and everything within and around us is made up of energy.  Energy of a certain quality or vibration tends to attract energy of a similar quality and vibration.

Thoughts and feelings have their own magnetic energy that attracts energy of a similar nature.  We see this principle at work when we “accidently” run into someone we’ve just been thinking of, or “happen” to pick up a book and you turn to a page and read exactly the exact information you need at that moment.

Thought manifests instantaneously!

When we create something, we always create it first in thought form.  A thought or idea always comes before manifestation.  For example, an artist first has an idea or inspiration, and then creates a painting.  The idea is like a blueprint.

Simply having a thought or idea, holding it in your mind, is an energy that will tend to attract and create that form on a material level.  If you constantly think of illness, you may eventually become ill; if you believe yourself to be happy, you become so!

This is the principle that whatever you put into the universe will be reflected back to you.  It’s called the Law of Attraction and there are so many books written on this subject; to put it in simple terms, “as you sow, so shall you reap.”  Whatever we think of most we attract into our universe.

When we are negative and fearful, insecure or anxious, we often attract the very experiences, situations, or people that we are seeking to avoid.  So if that’s the case, if we are happy within ourselves, positive, loving and caring, we will attract more of the same.

Remember, may the possibilities of today excite us all!

Nancy's inspiration came 3 years ago when she discovered that her husband was having an affair.  She had two choices; become a victim or turn a negative into a positive.  So she positively packed her bags and landed in the farthest state she could choose, California.  Once home, Nancy vividly recalls a conversation she had with a girlfriend about the nightmare of dating.  The concept of MakeGirlfriends.com was born and in action.  "It really works!", says Nancy.   Here, women can connect with other “girlfriends”, because without our “girlfriends” in life, it can get tough out there!  Nancy encourages women to share their inspirational stories on the homepage called “YOUR VOICE”.  You never know how many lives you will touch by sharing your story...she can be reached via email at nancy@makegirlfriends.com.
