We are proud to announce a new FWL lending team on Kiva.org.  Are you familiar with Kiva?  Kiva's mission is to connect people through lending for the sake of alleviating poverty. Kiva is the world's first person-to-person micro-lending website, empowering individuals to lend directly to unique entrepreneurs in the developing world.

Future Women Leaders' mission is to promote the leadership development of women both personally and professionally, and Kiva enables us to help women not only locally but globally as well.

Help others less fortunate than you this holiday season by joining the Future Women Leaders lending team and providing entrepreneurs around the world with micro-loans.  Just $25 can make a difference!

I made my first $25 loan and felt so good about it. I helped a women in Tajikistan fund an expansion of her pharmacy.

Last night I heard Matt Flannery of Kiva on a panel for Money, Mobs and Media: Mobilizing Action for Change at the HUB Bay Area. He was very down to earth and inspiring! He shared that he was using his last bit of money before the company finally became a success. It takes vision to make big social change projects a reality!
